Professional Background

Lucy studied mathematics at University College London before joining Arnold Hill & Co as an audit trainee in 1996.  Having gained experience dealing with preparing accounts, auditing and taxation she joined the Trust department after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant.   She had the privilege of becoming their first female partner in 2006.

Lucy advises individuals, businesses, executors and trustees of family trusts and charities.  This includes advice on estate planning, running business and personal tax issues.  She also oversees the administration of a number of trusts, charities and estates and acts as a trustee and executor.

Lucy is an active member of STEP (previously known as the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners).  She qualified as a member after completing the STEP Diploma and is currently the Honorary Treasurer for both the London Central Branch and Charity Special Interest Group of STEP.

Lucy is a keen supporter of Rett UK, a national charity that supports and advises people involved with caring for a child or adult who has Rett syndrome.  She was the Honorary Treasurer, and served on the board of trustees for many years.

Personal life

Lucy runs, swims and cycles regularly and has taken part in many events from track and field, and cross country, to road races and marathons.  She also competes and volunteers for her local athletics club, assisting with their accounts as well as with running the clubhouse and at events.  When time permits she also enjoys cooking, reading, DIY and playing the guitar.
