Environmental Week!

Arnold Hill is currently mid way through its inaugural environmental awareness week.  All of our staff members have been tasked with challenging the policies and processes currently adopted within our workplace.  By doing so we hope to better understand the impact that we are having, both locally and globally.  At the end of this week we will undertake open engagement to establish what we have learned.  We then intend to incorporate the positive points identified into the way we operate as a firm going forwards.

The early signs appear encouraging.  We have already seen positive changes to the way our staff are operating in relation to food recycling and in reducing the firm’s usage of paper and electricity.

As part of this initiative, we are also challenging our staff to volunteer a day of their time to charities supporting environmental causes.  The interest so far has been positive, the charities being chosen including those supporting the planting of trees in cities, litter picks, river restoration and gardening conservation.

Finally, we are also fundraising during the week.  All proceeds raised from fruit selling, cake baking and a dress down day will be donated by the firm to charities supporting those affected by the recent flooding in Devon.
